    A kirándulás képei

We want to take advantage of one of the longer days of the year to climb the highest peak of New England: Mount Washington. This is a strenuous hike on steep, rocky trails which will be preceded by a long car ride. It will be worth the trouble: we plan on spending 4-5 hours above treeline. Mt Washington is the highest mountain in the White Mountains however, it is not the best because it can also be "climbed" by car. The fact that one can buy hot food and get water on the top will make up for the disappointment of meeting the crowds.

    where? Mt. Washington

    when? July 1, 6:30 a.m.

meeting place: Riverside stop of the green D line

more info: The ride from Boston is about 3 hours, the hike will take 8-9 hours.

bring with you: hiking boots, rain gear, water, food, sunscreen, bug spray, warm clothing too (it may get cold on top).

    rain date: July 4. Wednesday

We ask you to sign up for this hike ahead of time so we can organize the car pools. In your e-mail, let us know if you want to be driver or passenger and, if you bring your car, how many free seats you have.
